How It Works

From submitting the form to picking up the bed

Here is exactly what happens at each step, for both donors and recipients.

Submit the Form

Choose "I Have a Hospital Bed to Donate" or "I Need a Hospital Bed" and fill out the short form — your name, contact information, ZIP code, and a few details about the bed (or the bed you're looking for). It takes about two minutes. You'll agree to our program terms before submitting.

We Search for a Match

Our team reviews every submission and searches for a donor or recipient within 50 miles. If a match is already waiting nearby, this can happen quickly. If not, your submission stays active and we keep searching — we will reach out the moment a suitable match is found.

We Connect You

Once we identify a match, we email both the donor and the recipient with each other's contact information at the same time. You'll know in advance exactly who you're being connected with — no unannounced calls from a stranger.

Coordinate Pickup

The donor and recipient arrange the pickup directly. Transport is the recipient's responsibility — hospital beds generally need to be moved by a professional, licensed mover, and that cost is not covered by our organization.

What to Expect

Every situation is a little different. If a donor with the bed size or type you need is already active nearby, we may be able to connect you within days. If not, it can take longer — we keep your submission open and will contact you as soon as a match becomes available. The same applies to donors: if there isn't a nearby request yet, your donation stays listed until one comes in.
