Hospital Bed Exchange ("we," "us," or "our") is a national outreach program of Fair Lawn Medical Equipment Gemach (operating as Fair Lawn Gemach Corp), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through hospitalbedexchange.com.
We only collect information you choose to provide and basic technical information needed to operate the site.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only in these limited ways:
Photos you upload are stored with our hosting provider and may be shown to our staff and to a matched recipient to help them evaluate a bed. Automated screening is applied to uploaded images to detect inappropriate content. Please upload photos of the bed only, and avoid including people or other identifying details.
We use Google Analytics and Google Ads tools (via a gtag) to understand how visitors find and use the site and to measure the results of our nonprofit advertising. These tools may set cookies. We keep your submission for as long as needed to make a match and to maintain records of our charitable activity. If you ask us to withdraw your offer or request, we will mark it inactive and remove or anonymize your personal details when it is no longer needed.
You may ask us to update your information, withdraw your donation offer or bed request, or delete your personal information at any time by contacting us using the details below. You may also unsubscribe from further messages by replying to any email we send you.
Hospital Bed Exchange is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to submit a donation offer or a bed request, and this site is not directed to minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we also do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.
We take reasonable measures to protect the information you share with us. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page.
